Help! My subscription has been suspended!

So lots of subscribers have been checking their account status and seeing that it's "suspended." Aack! Are we not going to see our magazines?

No, no... all is well. Here's the skinny from our circulation department:

"If you are checking on your magazine subscription and it says it is "suspended," that's a good thing. "Suspended" means circulation has processed your request for a subscription, that your first magazine will be delivered soon, that your bill will arrive shortly after the first magazine and that once the bill is paid your account will go from "suspended" to active. It's just a routine process to put the second issue on hold until the bill is paid."

So, hey... you heard it here first. All's well... your mag will arrive... and digital scrapbooking will continue to be a positive force in your life.

Have a wonderful weekend!

What happens if you signed up months ago for the $11.99 price and when you try to log in, it says it can't find your subscription info and asks you to register?

Glad you posted this, Molly. I panicked too! We have all been waiting eagerly and worrying that we never recieved an invoice and now that ugly word "suspended"! I can't wait to get the first issue in hand!!

I too have the same issue as the first commenter, I subscribed at the $11.99 rate and don't know how to check my status.

Thanks!

Hello!!!
So I thought the new site was supposed to launch today. Anybody know about the delay? I'm really anxious to see it!

The front pages says the web site was supposed to launch 2/20, but it still isn't up. They must be having some problems with the site.

I, too, was concerned that my subscription was lost in the mail, so I sent an e-mail to Digital Scrapbooking asking them to verify that my subscription was received. They said it was and I would receive the first issue by 3/20/07. I hope it's not that long before I receive it. I hope it's this week like Molly's blog says.

Molly, where and how do I go to check my subscription? I signed up long ago but still haven't heard.

Thanks,
Karen

I just signed up and can't wait to see this new magazine. As much as I like the online magazine's its going to be so cool seeing digi stuff not only in print but in its very own magazine! How cool! I don't know if there is any tallying going on behind the scenes but I heard about you through Kathryn Balint's newsletter.

My only question is, if I just signed up, will I get the very first issue? I would really like to since she said in the newsletter that there is some cool stuff from her being offered.... cool!

Now to see about submitting something... :D

PS I still hope to see the emoticons in print and the lol's .... lol :D

I have no idea where else to ask this? I ordered the magizne in December sometime and when I saw the post about the suspended i thought i would check my accounts status but it just kept asking me for my email. I too never got a bill and just thought I would get one when I got the first magazine. I called the 1 800 number listed and they told me they did not have a record for my subscription! I was so upset, i have been waiting to recieve the magizine and now i won't get the first issue and have to wait for the second issue. I'm so confused on how this happened and I can't find anywhere on the website that I can contact the magazine about this.

Will the magzine be sold in stores because I'm dying to see the first issue and if so when am I likely to see it ( I live in canada)?

oh good. I freaked and then of course I sent you all an e-mail complaining. LOL! ONLY cuz I signed up early so I'd get it in the mail and I thought this meant I wouldn't get it. I'll be sure to pay that bill as soon as I get it so my 2nd issue goes out. :D

Ok - is anyone going to answer my question about mu subscription? I'm so frustrated! I see Jane had a similar problem. Who can I contact to look into this? There is nothing on the website?

Please Help!

There was a link on the previous web site where you could send them an e-mail, but it looks like they don't want to be contacted because they've removed it. Nice customer service!! I was fortunate enough to send an e-mail before they removed it and was told that I should have my magazine by the end of March. What happened to the mid-February release date!!! At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the second issue is at the printing press when I get the first issue. Needless to say I am pretty disappointed with Digital Scrapbooking! I hope this isn't an indication of things to come.

I too was among those early subscribers who just happened to go online to check the status of the new magazine - probably directed by an ad I saw in Simple -and was upleasantly surprised to read the words "suspended due to lack of payment," especially since I'd not rec'd any invoice, communique, etc. I promptly paid and commented on the gaffe - the circulation business' - definitely not mine - only to receive another canned message that it would take "7-10 days to..."
The commenter ahead of me alludes to the lack of customer service - "ain't none." Launching a new magazine is a tough business - you only get to make a first impression once - the company responsible for subscriptions blew it royally. - too bad 'cause it's not the experience I've ever had with Simple. Trust they (subscription company) won't be around long.
And I saw the premiere issue at Barnes & Noble - purchased a copy 'cause who knows when/if my subscription will commence.

Well it is mid March here, still waiting. I see some of you have picked up a copy at the bookstore. Why are you giving them your money twice? I am getting frustrated, Honore is correct "one chance to make a first impression". I am still holding onto my final judgement but the mag better be good!!

Today is March 13th. I signed up for a charter subscription. I have already PAID online but I got another invoice in the mail over a week ago. I called in and was told that I would have my mag by 3/20. Every store, even the grocery store, around here has this magazine. I still have not received mine. This is absolutely ridiculous. The forums on all the digiscrap sites are lit up with people complaining about this problem. I think this needs to be addressed again in the blog or prominently on the website!! What is going on??

I agree. I also signed up for a charter subscription. Still haven't gotten my issue either. I bought an issue at Borders or Barnes and Noble. I fell there should be a better explanation or apology or something.

Yes, much like previous posters, I signed up for the Charter subscription and in February I checked - message was that my subscription was suspended. I wrote them and received a note back that I hadn't paid. I checked and sure enough the payment never posted to my cc. So, I paid again. It's now 2 months in and I haven't seen anything. I also did not receive a response to my recent email two weeks ago asking where my magazine is.

This is not professional and seems a bit gimicky to me. Who is running this place? How hard is it to get your mag out to your subscribers? In my business, I wouldn't last a New York minute if I managed my customers in this manner. Shame on you for such appalling treatment.

Well, it is the 23rd of March and I still have NOT received the magazine that I was told I would receive in February and then by March 20th! I have received an e-mail telling me I could pay the bill for my subscription and I received a bill in the mail - yet they have a problem getting the magazine to me. What kind of business is that??? I can not emphasize enough how gravely disappointed I am in this magazine. These are the people who bring you Creating Keepsakes and Simple Scrapbooks magazines, so this is not a new process to them. In addition, I took a look at the magazine in the store (which you can find on any store magazine rack - just not in your mailbox) and I am THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED with the magazine. The first thing I noticed when I picked it up was how skimpy the magazine was, so I turned to the back to see that it has a mere 115 pages, while most other scrapbooking magazines have about 150 pages. I turned to the first page and flipped through about 15 pages and saw NOTHING BUT ADVERTISEMENT! One after the other on page after page and this doesn't include the ones throughout the rest of the magazine! So the premiere issue appears to be a skimpy magazine full of ads. I'm in complete agreement with a previous writer - Digital Scrapbooking you can expect to receive the bill back, because I'm not interested in this kind of garbage. Your customer service is the worse I've ever seen and I'm not interested in receiving a flier each month full of advertisements. I get Pennysaver for free!!!

March 28th - still no magazine :(

Well I am glad to see I am not alone in this. The CS stinks to high heaven..It is now April 7 and I still have not gotton the first issue and was told another one was sent and I still don't have it, and it is paid for. There is no where around here that I can pick up a copy. And I also think that nobody is reading these responses, or they just don't care.

Madelineas,
I would call them. I never received my issue. I called and ended up with 2. I am so frustrated that I've decided not to subscribe. There is another magazine that is for hybrid scrapping. I'll tray that instead.

Well... I wonder if any of the "Higher-Ups" ever read this blog. If they do they are either brain dead or don't care! I cannot imagine receiving so many negative comments and not doing something about it! This site is not handled very professionally at all! Have any of you submitted LO's to be posted online? I have, and the gallery hasn't changed since it opened! Maybe they don't like my LO's, which is fine. But seems like there would be SOME new ones added!! I am thouroughly disgusted with this whole mess!!

I don't think anybody reads these comments. The second issue has been on the news stand for over two weeks now and I didn't get mine yet. What a sucky mess this turned into..
