As I was surfing the 'net recently looking for gift ideas, I found that one of my favorite causes has resurrected a campaign from last year. The One Laptop per Child organization's mission statement reads: "To create educational opportunities for the world's poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power, connected laptop with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning." For $399 you can give a laptop and get one for a child in your life. Or, if you'd just like to donate a laptop, the cost is $199.happy holidays! renee
